General Aviation Security: highlights of the COLIBRI Project activities (June to August 2024)
Between June and August 2024, the COLIBRI Project, implemented by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and funded by the European Union (EU), continued to make significant strides in strengthening the monitoring and control of General Aviation (GA) across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) and West and Central Africa (WCA).
COLIBRI holds Regional Focal Point Meeting in Asuncion, Paraguay
The first regional seminar bringing together COLIBRI Project focal points for the Latin America and Caribbean region was held from 4 to 6 June 2024 in Asuncion, Paraguay. The event brought together 35 focal points from 31 different administrations in 8 partner countries: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
COLIBRI holds Regional Focal Point Meeting in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire
As part of the COLIBRI Project on General Aviation, implemented by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and funded by the European Union (EU), the first Regional Focal Point Meeting was held from 26 to 28 February 2024 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
Inter-agency cooperation – the case of Argentina

The COLIBRI Project organises the 5th Expert Coordination Meeting at the WCO
Brussels November 2023, the 5th COLIBRI Expert Coordination Meeting was held in Brussels at the World Customs Organization’s premises and marked a significant milestone to kick off with the COLIBRI Project’s 2nd phase aimed at Monitoring and Controlling General Aviation (GA).
